Morning, Ashtanga Essentials: Breath, Movement and Intention, this workshop covers the basic components of the Ashtanga Yoga system. Breath, Sun Salutations, Standing Poses, Jump Back / Jump Through and Finishing Poses will be explained and taught in a relaxed and informative manner. Suitable for All Levels.
Afternoon, Hip Opening and Back Bending Workshop: This workshop is a stepping stone to accessing the tight and sometimes troublesome areas of the yogin’s body. An assortment of postures to liberate the pelvis, shoulders, spine and the heart. By nature, a usually well attended workshop. Be prepared for happy hips and spine to begin the new year in a good way.

Morning, Ashtanga Primary Series: This workshop will be an opportunity for students to experience the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga in a relaxed and informative manner. Aspects of vinyasa, dristhi, bandhas, mudras, and yoga philosophy will be presented. Modifications will be given for the more difficult poses in the Series.  Difficult postures such as Marichasana D, Bujapidasana and Supta Kurmasana will be broken down in detail. Suitable for students of all levels who have an established and regular Yoga practice.
Afternoon, Introduction to the Intermediate (2nd) Series: Accessible postures of the Intermediate Series such as Pashanana, Kapotasana, Pinchamayurasana and Mukta Hasta Shirshasana will be introduced.
Foundations of technique, alignment and injury prevention will be addressed. Recommended for those who have a regular and consistent Primary Series practice along with proficient back bending.IMG_4371
Adjustments Course for Yoga Teachers
January 16, 17 & 18 and 24 & 25, 2015

Friday January 16: 18:30 – 21:00, Program Orientation and Introduction to Adjustment Theory
Sat & Sun: 10:00 – 13:00 and 14:30 – 17:30
The program will consist of Theory and Psychology of Adjusting with a generous amount of Practice time to provide adequate experience and confidence for adjusting students.
Morning Sessions will be dedicated to course participants Adjusting each other during asana practice.
Afternoon Sessions will be dedicated to Lectures, Demonstrations, Adjustment Method Experimentation and Question and Answer Sessions.
